Fiora is a fighter who can play in the Solo Lane or Jungle. Fiora is one of the best playmakers if used properly. She is a very versatile champion because of her kit and has the potential to outplay her opponent. Her laning phase is very strong, and she can also scale well, allowing you to split push in side lanes, applying pressure, meaning that the enemy team will have to respond with multiple enemies. Even though Fiora does have crazy outplay potential, she does take time to master. Timing with Riposte is crucial to blocking incoming damage and taking advantage of her vitals from her passive Duelist's Dance means she can take advantage in fights.
Make sure to check the alternative build at the top of the page for playing Fiora in the jungle.
Fiora reveals Vitals on nearby enemy champions. Striking a Vital deals a percentage of the target's max health as true damage, heals Fiora and grants her movement speed decaying over a few seconds.
These Vitals are weak points that can be struck by Fiora's auto-attack or by hitting Lunge or Riposte. New Vitals are revealed after striking one or after around 17 seconds. Striking Vitals are a vital part of Fiora's playstyle and something you always want to keep your eye on. Hitting vitals makes it easier for Fiora to chase down her enemies.
Fiora lunges and stabs a nearby enemy, dealing physical damage in an area. Hitting an enemy refunds 50% of the cooldown.
You could be punished if you miss hitting an enemy because of its long cooldown. Hitting an enemy means you can dash safely after a few seconds. Lunge prioritizes Vitals and enemies it will kill first, then champions, minions and monsters. Lunge also applies on-hit effects to the primary target hit. This works with the Spellblade passive from Trinity Force, meaning you will do extra damage.
Fiora parries all incoming damage and debuffs for the next 0.75 seconds. Then stabs in the target direction, dealing magic damage to the first enemy champion, slowing their movement speed and attack speed for 1.5 seconds. If Fiora parries an immobilizing effect, Riposte will stun instead of slow.
Timing and predicting Riposte to stun an enemy is crucial to Fiora's carry potential. Riposte is an excellent ability for Fiora in duels. You will be playing mind games with the enemies and make them think twice about trying to fight you. Without Riposte, Fiora can feel quite vulnerable, so make sure you don't waste this ability.
Empowers the next two attacks with increased attack speed. The first attack applies a slow for a second but cannot critically strike. The second attack will always critically strike for increased physical damage.
You want to use the first attack on a minion and then look to play aggressively when you want to use the 2nd attack of Bladework on a champion, as it will guarantee to deal more damage. Bladework is also an auto-attack reset, meaning that you can use this ability straight after an auto-attack so you can deal more damage in a shorter amount of time.
Upon activation, Fiora reveals all 4 Vitals on an enemy champion for a few seconds and grants Duelist's Dance's bonus movement speed while near them. Striking all four vitals in 8 seconds, or if the target dies after at least one hit, will summon a field area on the floor that heals Fiora and nearby allies every second. The field will last longer depending on how many vitals you hit. Grand Challenge can also be used when trying to escape because of the bonus movement speed you get.
Trinity Force synergizes well with Lunge. Since Lunge procs on-hit effects, it will instantly deal the bonus damage from the Spellblade passive, giving you more carry potential.
Eclipse can be proc'd easily with Fiora's dash and auto attack reset from Bladework. This helps Fiora's trading potential increasing her damage and giving her a shield.
Death's Dance gives Fiora both defensive and offensive stats. It fits perfectly with Fiora's playstyle as the passive allows Fiora to mitigate a lot of burst damage and heal when you get a takedown.
For runes, we have the following:
Fiora is a fighter who wants to get in the enemy's face and attack, especially to proc her Vitals. Conqueror is strong in long fights where Fiora can gain more damage and omnivamp.
Great for when Fiora drops low on health when she dashes in. It can save you and bait the enemy into thinking you are already dead.
Fiora can take a lot of damage from dueling and taking poke damage from ranged champions. Second Wind helps Fiora heal when out of combat.
Bone Plating is great when vs combo champions to reduce damage taken.
When Fiora is farming, she'll be able to gain free health throughout the game, making her difficult to kill.
Brutal gives Fiora's auto attacks and Lunge more damage giving her a lot of power in the early game to take trades and maybe even solo kill early on.
Fiora is reasonably strong in the early game. Even though she scales exceptionally well, Duelist's Dance and Riposte make it so she can outplay and win a lot of matchups early. Fiora is vulnerable when making mistakes and can be punished heavily when overstepping, so know your boundaries and don't overstay your welcome. You always want to keep your eyes on the vitals displayed on the enemy champion and use your Lunge to dash in and proc the vital. Riposte is a great spell to get out of a bad situation. It blocks all incoming damage, so if you time it correctly, you can use this ability effectively.
In the Late Game, Fiora shines at split pushing, which means going to one of the side lanes (Baron or Dragon Lane) and pushing the minion wave. Thanks to her kit, Fiora's one-on-one duelling potential is excellent, and she pushes towers fast, allowing you to apply pressure on the opposite side of the map to where a teamfight is about to happen. However, Fiora can still be excellent when grouping with her team in team fights. In a team fight, your main goal is to get on top of the enemy backline, keeping an eye on your vitals (passive) and blocking abilities where possible with Riposte. You don't want to be the first engagement; instead, wait for your team to engage first and the enemy to use their Crowd Control and then look to clean up fights.
Overall, Fiora is a very fun and challenging champion with a unique playstyle. She has crazy mobility and a lot of damage to allow you to carry games alone.
